Police Officer Daniel A. Hoak, a resident of Dewitt, VA is reaching out to his family, friends, and community for help. Officer Hoak was diagnosed with kidney failure and recently received a kidney transplant at the Medical College of Virginia. He now needs to raise at least $30,000 for his portion of the cost related to the transplant surgery, aftercare, and lifetime commitment of anti-rejection medication which can exceed $2,000 per month.
